Journaling has helped me through thick and thin.
It has most definitely become my safe haven in times of crisis or to simply perceive myself through a second person’s view.
For me, journaling lasts up to five minutes or less. It’s never a long-winded process, making it more of an appealing form of self-care for me.
Every morning for 5 minutes, I do morning pages.
A form of journaling which involves a stream of consciousness to simply set the tone for the day and dump down any thoughts, tasks and possibly dreams that I remember.
By doing this, I can allow myself to metaphorically empty my mind, clearing out the lingering fog and face the day ahead.
It doesn’t need to look nice or anything.
All you have to do is write.
